Knitting + Men - Cigars = ?

The current issue of Knitty, an online knitting magazine, is dedicated to knitting for and by men. This pattern had a nice photograph. I don't like cigars, but I do like cute guys and knitting. Two out of 3 ain't bad.

One quibble: those gloves woud be better if the cropped fingers had flaps that you could pull over to warm your digits once the cigar was finished.

The gent has a wee child in the house (photo of his wife and child are at the end of the pattern) and apparently chooses to enjoy his cigars outside to spare his child exposure to daddy's stogie smoke. Since the photo was clearly taken indoors... that's why it's not lit.
