Knitting together

So, I've started posting my designs on www.ravelry.com. Yes, it's a good thing, and I don't know why I waited so long. Well, there is the fact that ravelry didn't exist before. But even since it has existed I was slow to join the bandwagon.
The most popular of my designs so far is the "entrelac cube with continuous cables." Probably because it's a variation of knitting that I invented and it's novel, and crafters crave novelty. There's a few other things that are new, or at least I've never seen them before in all the dozens of knitting books I own.
Okay, so twice now in the last month, because of my Ravelry designs, goddesses of the knitting universe have contacted me and told me they were going to be in Portland and would like to meet me, and I have had to turn them down because of previous commitments.
It's frustrating, yet encouraging.
