I have been enjoying Ravelry, a well-equipped and well-populated knitting site. I have posted a few of my knitting designs there, and people have started to knit them... It's quite gratifying.

There's a guy in Louisiana who finished his version of the scarf I'm knitting for David (which I'm about half-done with), and has gone on to teach a class in it!

There's a woman in Berlin who finished a scarf from my pattern. The colors she used, not so much. But it's fun to see my ideas out there.

Yeah, that colorway she chose just kinda, oh I dunno, sucks. :) At the very least it's not my tastes, but as long as she or whoever she made it for likes it, that's all that matters. It also looks like she used larger needles to make it lacier. Or she just knits very loosely. But I'm glad your patterns are starting to get noticed.

Hey, I owe you a lot for getting me back into Ravelry. Once I found out how to share my patterns it became a lot more interesting for me.

Don't mention it... Maybe some day soon you'll be selling your patterns to Interweave and have your own fan club on Ravelry like Brooklyntweed. *grin*

Just keep in mind, the model is probably 30 years older now :)

Jumping has to be more careful :)

Ah, you need to find less fragile people!

Well, I usually expect people in their 70s to be somewhat fragile :)

He looks like he's in his mid 20s in that pic.

I think the colors are fun on the scarf made by the lady in Berlin!

You know, my mom and grandmother taught me to knit and crochet when I was kid, but I've never done any of it as an adult. I should pick it up again.

I like the colours as well.

I'm rather timid about color, so don't go by me. And I firmly believe to each his own.
