How dry I am

I just let a pot boil dry. I do this about 3 or 4 times a year.

Cool, that's neat...!

My tivo mysteriously recorded that show without my asking it to! Even though I had given AM Northwest a thumbs-down after its earlier, random recording of a show! How cool is that!

Damn, I guess all those Tivo commercials where some guy goes "My Tivo gets me" are true! If I had a VCR or DVR set up on my TV I would've recorded it. I know our A/V system is set up so that my laptop can do output to the TV, but I don't have a TV card, so I'm pretty sure I can't do the reverse, or else I would've recorded it with my trusty lappy.

I'm really sorry I could not arrange for Christopher to make it up to Portland during his left coast visit. I really did try. I/We WILL make it up there somehow though, as I have yet to step foot in the land of our neighbor to the north.

I had an old roommate that managed to do that, with some regularity. She also thought that it was normal for pots and pans to have to be replaced after a few years. The two were very definitely related.
