Wow, that's great. It's a good way to go back and get rid of stuff you don't want as well, like memes I had done that I had set as private and don't want there anymore. It's also a nice way to see all of the pics I've posted.
If you tend to use a lot of photographs in your journal entries, like I do, the PDF really looks quite nice. I could see a lot of applications for this, such as friends who post a lot of their best photos here in LJ land. Port the file to Lulu.com and print them up as perfect bound paperbacks for about 12.00 each.
It's been around since 2003 so I'm assuming it's not one of those things sniffing up drama (there was one- I think the crazy bear jameth kicked it up). I suppose after the PDF is created one could always change the password anyway.
I swear by ljArchive. Check it out. It downloads my enire journal (including all of the comments) to my local drive and then updates it with any changes. It also has a text search function and many other useful features. The best part? You never have to give away your password.
