New Niece

I have a new niece. I'm sure she is beautiful, but I have no pictures yet.

Her name is Kaia. She weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces at birth. Big-boned gal! She is 1/8th Native American, which would be a first for my immediate family.

Congratulations to my brother Chris and his wife Heather!

You know, depending on the nation and how the folks feel about it, she could get financial assistance for college from the government. (speaking as someone who is 1/4 Cherokee through Dad....I never did, didn't need it, but I think about it now....) Congrats to all.
