I have been looking over the Jung's 100th anniversary seed catalog.
Here is a family-owned seed catalog that lists plants for all these fruits, some I have never tried, and some I had never even heard of. Which got me thinking... which of these exotic (temperate-climate) fruits have you tried? (You can check more than one box per question.)

Date: 2007-02-07 12:46 am (UTC)One of the most vivid memories of my youth is sitting in a white mulberry tree with Ian and Joe one hot lazy afternoon picking and eating the berries. Joe was worried that he had to be home before dark. Ian insisted that his mother told him it was the longest day of the year and that we had plenty of time. I can remember the warm sun on my skin, the breeze ruffling the leaves , the smell of the alpha field across the way and the taste of the sweet juicy berries.
When I settle someplace, I intend to start a thicket.
