I went to the Portland International Test Rose Garden yesterday. It's set on a hillside above downtown Portland. I hiked up from downtown (puff, puff) and took dozens of pictures. The roses were in pretty good shape. They'll probably be blooming for another two months, but as the days dwindle down to a precious few hours, the new growth will slacken off.

I like this particular rose because as the flowers age the number of colors increases... it develops a purplish edge to a flower that's mostly on the yellow side of red shades.
