Beard with pomade
Originally uploaded by fuzzyjay

OK, this is with pomade. Trying to get the curl in the beard to lie flatter, so my face doesn't look any jowlier than it already is.

Looks good... how's that pomade feel in actual use?

Depends how much you slather on. With just enough, it's not that noticeable. This particular product has a coconut smell which isn't as bad as some.

Have you tried dragging a comb through it while blow-drying? Works great for me, with or without heat.

I haven't, that might work. I don't have a blow-dryer to try it with, though. So far, I'm happy with the goop, though.

So what sort of brands do you use? Mine gets -really- curly/fro-y when I attempt to grown it long, which I do not mind up to a point, but then it just turns into a tangled mess so I end up keeping it relatively clean/tight through trimming.

Just curious! :) It looks very nice!

Thanks, I'm using Murray's Super Light right now. It's petroleum jelly, lanolin, coconut oil, aloe and fragrance. The fragrance is light, which is nice on something that's going under my nose, as somebody mentioned. I don't know if it would work on super-curly. Mine is more wavy, so I'm going for the Assyrian or Marcel wave look. ;)
