I love comma splices as much as the next guy, you don't see me capitalizing the word after the comma, though.

In the 'about the author' text to A Streetcar Named Desire in the playbill at the goddamned KENNEDY CENTER last night (I can scan and post it if you don't believe me), 'however' was used with a comma before and no punct after: e.g., Dude had a hard childhood, however he wrote some good shit.

Bring on the polar melting.
