Square Dancer Identity

fuzzyjayOn Wednesday night, our square-dance class had to choose a name for ourselves. Since we're part of the Rosetown Ramblers, and based in the City of Roses (though we actually dance in Milwaukie), we choose a name for the class that's also the name of a rose.
The one that I was rooting for won... 'Steppin' Out'. (Did you know that plant cultivar names are supposed to be enclosed in single quotes?) I like it because it's dancing... (steppin') and gay (OUT!)...
Other candidates were '"The Thing" from Glendorra' (I kid you not, this is the name of a rose); "Rainbow's End" (I like that one too); "Fancy Dancer"; and "Big Purple" (big purple what?).
