Those elegant decorums
the concept of propriety in Jane Austen's novels.
by Jane Nardin
Published in 1973, State University of New York Press (Albany)

This book was awesome! I recommend it highly to any fan of Austen's novels. Unlike the previous treatise on her novels that I read, the language in this was perfectly accessible to me, a non-academic.

Weirdly and unexpectedly, it gave me some insight into some of my previous love relationships.

First Thursday: Jay Fiorenza

The Basil Hallward gallery is pleased to present Disappearing Landscapes, a photography exhibit by Jay Fiorenza. Influenced by his love of vintage images and old photographic processes, these atmospheric and haunting photographs convey the beauty of abandoned spaces and forgotten back roads in Central Oregon and Washington.

Buncha friends are meeting here to stroll around the Pearl District. You in?
