Frackin fracka fracker

My one and only credit card, from my old credit union, has changed APR from 17.99 percent (hell, call it 18) to a variable rate capped at 19.99 percent. Why wasn't there an anti-usury provision in the credit card bill that just passed US congress? Oh, yeah, campaign financing reform failed. I remember the days (yes, I'm becoming a geezer) when CC interest rates were capped at 18 percent. Which made sense when there was low inflation, like now. This card started at 12 percent in 1994, when I opened it.

There are several sidewalk cafés in Portland that take over the sidewalk and make walking along them very uncomfortable.

Then there's the impact on wheelchair users. Can I get a witness? 

The worst offender in my opinion is a very nice restaurant, Pambiche.

I like and patronize sidewalk cafés. Just not on narrow sidewalks.

As further proof of my descent into curmudgenhood, I present this document for your perusal. A committee met in Portland and recommends fees and restrictions on sidewalk cafés.
