Rose Bushes Free to a Good Home

fuzzyjayIf anybody wants these roses (and some other hardy shrubs), that I have grown in pots, and can take them away before mid-December, let me know. I live in Hamden, CT. I can't transport them to you, sorry.
Most of the pots are self-watering pots with a reservoir in the saucer.
You have a couple of choices. You can winter them in an unheated garage. In my zone (6b), I have to get them in by the Winter Solstice (December 21st or so), and I bring them out around the Vernal Equinox (March 21st or so). All of these roses have survived at least one winter (some two, three, or four) in my garage. I don't water them during the winter, but they are watered well before they go in.
You could also plant them now, if the ground isn't frozen yet.
You could try to winter them over against a house with leaves banked up against them. I haven't actually tried that, but it should work.
Update! Some of these roses have been taken. The roses that are no longer available have their names struck-through on the list.
Update2. More of the roses have been taken. There are still some great roses left. The polyanthas, in particular, are very hard to find, and they are easy and very heavy-blooming.
