whereispaco and a friend are picking me up in a few minutes and we're going to drive all night to Washington, DC, to mill around the Mall and register our displeasure with the current regime.
Then we're staying overnight in a hotel and Paco will get to experience my PowerSnore Action. It's Vibra-Licious and Tonsil-Tastic! Now improved with O-furr-tonesĀ®.
Have fun... Give those bureaucrats over there in W.D.C. a Vibra-Licious and Tonsil-Tastic few choice words to accompany the protest....(to bad Bushey is in Texas)hehehe.
For previous protests I have gone on buses from Yale. Typically they leave late at night and drop you off near a Metro stop on the outskirts of town, and pick you up later in the day.
This time I didn't find any buses in time to go... probably because I was focussing too much on my PDX trip.
No museum time this trip. We drove all night Fri/Sat and ended up in Washington at around 6. At 7 we checked into the hotel early, slept, and headed down to the Mall. Protesting took until 4 or so, when we went back to the hotel for a nap before dinner.
We went to dinner in the gay district (near Dupont Circle), then to a bar called JR's. Not recommended by me, no facial hair to be seen except us 3. So many bare cheeks of the wrong kind!
I know there are better bars but whereispaco and I were too tired after that (we're talking 10:30 or so) to do anything but go back to the hotel room and sleep and stuff.
Darling, associating yourself with Trotskyites? You'll do anything to get laid. Surely you could find a more legitimate way to register your disgust with the current administration (ie one more serious and therefore more effective?). Jus' sayin'
Hmmm. Maybe I'll have to rethink my strategy. I didn't manage to bring any Republicans to their knees this weekend -- or Trotskyites either, for that matter.
