I liked that clip. I miss 70s scifi style :(

Lady Bunny is so behind the times. [livejournal.com profile] thornyc posted this on his blog last year and I've been burning copies of the special onto dvd for all and sundry for at least three years now.

Ah, well. I have enjoyed Lady Bunny's blog, even if she's not cutting-edge.

It takes the girl sooo long to get into her makeup, she can't quite keep with everything.

And then of course all the fumes have to do something to her too

Damn, it's an episode of Doctor Who that went funky!

Hey, I've been there!

I lived in Denver for over 20 years. Sometime in the early-mid 1980s, this "Articulated Wall" sculpture by Herbert Bayerwas erected as the emblem of the Denver Design Center. It's proving difficult to determine the exact history of this sculpture; web searches say it was designed for the 1968 Olympics in Mexico. Is the Denver installation that same one? Another? I don't know. But it surely looks like the one in the movie, doesn't it:
