No-Knead Bread - Finished Loaf

No-Knead Bread - Finished Loaf, originally uploaded by daisybush.

I made this bread tonight (well, not this particular loaf), and let me tell you, it's the bread to make. My only caveat is that you will need to buy one of those dough scrapers. The dough is that wet and sticky.

Also, I mess up the kitchen beyond belief whenever I have to handle flour.

You can find the recipe here: http://www.recipezaar.com/195092.

The same recipe was in the NY Times this past week. It was one of their most-emailed articles! :)

Yeah, that's where I found it. I didn't want to link to that article, though, because you need an account to access it.

Sounds good!

It's odd though. My house is a dead zone. I've tried to get yeast to rise, but it just doesn't.

I keep trying. Perhaps one day it'll happen.

Maybe if you put it in the fridge. Have you tried a refrigerator-rise recipe?

No, I haven't. I always thought you needed heat (well, warmth anyway).
