Yay

I fit into my 36 jeans again. Alls I had to do was be unemployed and go to the gym every day. And not eat everything I want to eat...

Congrats on the new thin version of you =)

So the job thing is tough out there, eh? Sorry to hear that.

Not tough

I'm not looking! I will be taking a Spanish class in August, and I'll start looking next week. I may work part time and go to school part time.

Cool! Yeah, I wondered if you'd be chillin' for awhile with the sale of the house and all.

Congrats. Feels good to drop sizes, doesn't it?

unrelated matters

You left CT and are now in OR? Wow! I felt that the West Coast was far less black than the East Coast or Midwest. As a person from New Haven, would you agree with that observation?

Absolutely. My bf is Mexican-American and he's darker than 90-plus percent of the people here. Portland is very white.

I'm originally from Branford, though, which was a lily-white suburb of New Haven when I was growing up. In my childhood there were I think 2 black families in a town of 10,000.
