nap

nap, originally uploaded by Daryl M.

I couldn't figure out what this was for the longest time.

Based on the last two posts, I was trying my best to figure out what sort of plant this was! -lol- It wasn't until I scrolled down and saw 'nap' that the eye came into focus and the feathers appeared. Cool shot!

Yeah, and it didn't help that I was looking at it (at first) in 1/4 size.

Roll the dice, baby!

Flamingoes!!!!!!!

I saw it almost immediately. Can't miss that neck.

Probably flamingoes from a zoo or farm in the U.S. Wild flamingoes eat shrimp that turn their feathers red. Zoo-raised or farm-raised birds don't eat enough of those shrimp, and so they get the striated color.

I'm a flamingo nut. :)

It was like a magic eye picture. I saw this meaningless pattern, and then they popped out at me plain as day.
