Taming the beard

Now that my beard's getting longer again, I need to tame it, and this was recommended by the bearded guys on Ravelry. I'm off to the African-American-ish part of town.

That stuff is petroleum jelly. I prefer hydrous lanolin. It makes you smell like a goat. Hawt.

I think you're thinking of the original, which I have and is nasty. This one has different ingredients. I'll let you know how it is once it's slathered on my face fur (in lieu of a more, um, personal lenitive.)

Still, for less than two bucks, try the lanolin sometime. It comes from wool, so it's perfect for our wooly faces :)

I will. I have lanolin (non-aqueous) but it's hard to apply. I have been looking for lanolin of the sort you describe since the time you first mentioned it (about a year ago) but with no luck so far.

I use stuff like that for mine. Not this specific brand but I go to the black people's hair care products section and use their hair products. One sayson the tub: "Keep hair away from open flame". I didn't use that one though.

Whatever you use, it's working!

Show us the longer beard!

Okay! As soon as I get home I'll post a pic.

Groovy!

Are you home yet?

Did you cruise up MLK? You should have waved!

I would so be excited to see you try a full-on Geri-Curl on there. You'd need lobster bib to protect your shirt from that shit.

Actually, I found it at the Hawthorne Fred Meyer. It doesn't get any whiter than that.

Murray is my surname. So last time I was in SF I picked up a whole load. Now they just sit on the bathroom shelf accusingly. Try a little bit of 'Black and White' or, if you are really lucky and can find it, 'Dixie Peach'. Smells good.

The "Super Light" is pretty good. I'll try the other ones you describe but, really, the less smell the better.

Yeah. It's probably better on the hair than beneath the nose.
