I like alstro. But it does tend to get all over the place, says the professional gardener. FYI.

Daylillies have the same root trick. it's pretty impressive when you think about it...Then again, that talent is inversely proportional to the "coolness" of said daylily variety. The huge chartruse flower with the burgundy throats? Those roots dry up and die if you even think about dividing them.
