Goodbye to PDX

Here I sit in the airport of PDX, my flight delayed an hour, sipping a venti drip outside the Starbucks in Gate C.

What a great time I had in Portland, and thanks so much for the hospitality of all the LJers I met in the flesh: [livejournal.com profile] iamthequarry/Gary, [livejournal.com profile] ebhotbear/Steve, and [livejournal.com profile] brianpdx/Brian.

I will be back. Maybe for good. I sure felt at home here.

We are planning on moving to Portland. It has always felt like my home away from home.

Jay,
I was really hoping that you would have contacted me while you were in Portland. I could have helped with some of the lonely time. My friend Rob said he was going on the Bear campout weekend so I asked him to introduce himself; I hope he did. Did you make it to Powell's bookstore and the Rose garden? Did you make it to the Chinese garden as I suggested?
Sorry I missed meeting you. Maybe the next time you are in town you should not make yourself a stranger.
