Golden Gate

We went across the Golden Gate bridge the other day, and saw this amazing view.

It was an excellent trip over all. One day of it was wasted on one of my bad moods. I did get to see a lot of San Francisco, and to eat some great food.

I enjoyed spending time with [profile] bigreddee/Donovan and Fred. There are lots of pictures at my Flickr account!

Have you been across the St John's Bridge yet?
It's right up the street. From here, at least.


Supposedly, it's the prototype of what would become the Golden Gate.

On my last trip to San Francisco for Pride 2003 my partner and I had one of the most amazing afternoons. When we drove over to Sausilito the bridge was open, sun shining, not a cloud in the sky. But on our return trip the fog was just coming in over the bridge. Talk about something to see. It moved in so fast that the bridge was completely fogged over when we stopped to pay the toll to get back into SF.
