Jane Austen, a study of her artistic development by A. Walton Litz

Just finished reading this. Fairly easy going, with some interesting ideas about the problems Austen may have been setting about to solve as she was writing her novels, complete and incomplete, and the earlier works. The chapters of this book follow the order of composition of Austen's works.

Amigurumi Knits: Patterns for 20 Cute Mini Knits by Hansi Singh

I just bought this book from KnitPicks during their 40%-off sale. I love this amigurumi stuff. Usually it's done with crochet, but here an inventive knitter has figured out techniques for knitting creatures of all kinds. You know you want to knit an octopus!
