I actually finished a garment. OK, it's a hat. Not so big. Such is my attention span.

I'm making another one now. This one is a tad small, but I ran out of yarn. I decided to use red to finish it off, and I think it looks kind of neat. It's a feature, not a bug!

This hat is created from entrelac squares that are done in ribbing. I used 3 by 3 ribbing because it's quite stretchy and I didn't want to swatch or anything. I figured with the stretchiness the hat would fit my head no matter what.

I'm writing up a pattern for it. More pictures of this on my Flickr account, and more info at my Ravelry page (user name "yarnover").

I really like it. It sort of reminds me of Huddy's Doodle

Is it warm? i.e. is Yarn as warm as whatever synthetic material my current hat is made out of?

I have no skills in creating something like this. Most excellent and fetching, my friend! It's been really, really cold here in Minneapolis (no surprise), a hat like this would come in quite handy!

HUGS!

That's lovely!

Cora, my sometimes assistant, crochets quite a bit... I think she knits, too, but she just finished something in red, after running out of the original yarn!

I grind stuff out on a knitting machine, but not fancy... I may learn how to finesse it, eventually, though.

My favorite is this toy knitting machine that does tubes..... I use a lot of that fun-fur through it.

It looks a bit like a sultan's turban - if the sultan lived in the PNW. Creative!

I've always liked that kind of tessellated pattern. Congratulations on the completion! :)

Looks good, also as one who has no skills in that area, I'm impressed! And the accent of red is nice, always a plus to throw in a 'detail' like that ;)

Nifty. I love the design and the colour. Kind of like moss doing a square dance.
