I read or heard somewhere that hairiness of the second (medial) phalanges of the fingers was an indication of overall body-hairiness.

I have a few hairs on the medial phalanges of my middle fingers and a bit more on the ring fingers.

And I meant to add that the sparseness of my phalangeal hair bears no association with the rest of me.
