Emily Dickenson reads the Connecticut atlas

A Wilton Hartford Coventry
A Naugatuck of Lyme

(I just read a few of her poems and got her prosody stuck in my head)

I've often said you could sing any Emily Dickinson poem to the tune of the Gilligan's Island theme song (try it with "Because I could not stop for death he kindly stopped for me" or "Why did they kick me out of heav'n, did I sing too loud?"--"I'm nobody--who are you?" not so much), but "The Yellow Rose of Texas" is a bit of a stretch.

**hums**

But I can see it.

Funny...I had always heard it said with 'Yellow Rose'...for years and years and years. It wasn't until I was almost through college that someone mentioned 'Gilligan' worked as well.
